Dr. Ricky Rogers, DVM Texas Cattle Consulting and Animal Health Supplies

Dr. Ricky Rogers is a 1977 graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. He has operated a mixed animal practice in Corsicana, Texas since his graduation. Dr. Rogers provides a state-wide cattle consulting service for feed yards, pre-conditioning yards, stocker operators, roping calf producers, and cow-calf operators. He will travel to your site for consultation on disease control, , and to collect tissue samples to submit for diagnostic testing. After examination of your cattle at your facility, you will receive a complete health plan that will detail recommendations to improve profitability for your operation.

♦ - Custom Cattle vaccines offering DNA fingerprinting and genotyping by Newport Laboratories. These vaccines contain multiple respiratory strains of Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Manheimia, and Histophilus Somnus which are responsible for bacterial pneumonia and cause greater than 90% of respiratory death in stocker/feeder cattle. We also have a new Cattle Pinkeye Vaccine that contains Moraxella bovoculi/ovis. Commercial pinkeye vaccines do not protect against this new strain. Typical name brand, commercial, or “off the shelf” bacterins purchased directly from veterinary distribution companies cannot compare to custom vaccines because most do not contain the specific antigens needed to provide immunity.

♦ - Prescriptions and vaccines are shipped via UPS which allows next day delivery in most cases. Local clients can pick-up prescriptions and vaccines at Rogers Animal Hospital. Payment can be made with all major credit cards.

♦ - All prescriptions and vaccines will be properly labeled to ensure full compliance with state and federal laws, and to keep you advised of withdrawal times.

♦ - For local or close proximity producers, complete cattle services are provided utilizing a newly installed W-W Super Pro Hydraulic Squeeze Chute for routine vaccinations, pregnancy checks, and Bull semen testing. Our facility allows easy handling of large breed cattle and “rough stock” including rodeo bucking bulls.

♦ - EID Tagging, age verification, and registration for American Bucking Bull, Inc. (ABBI)

♦ - Bowie Mobile Veterinary Unit and Truck for farm and ranch calls.
